Jason Schwartzman stopped by ‘Today’ (9AM ET on NBC) to preview the new season of ‘Bored to Death,’ which premieres Sunday night on HBO. The interview with Hoda and guest-host Kourtney Kardashian displayed Schwartzman’s full range of comic talents and smooth interview flirting skills.
Schwartzman revealed that in the new ‘Bored to Death’ season, his struggling writer-turned-amateur-private-detective character Jonathan Ames discovers his dad isn’t actually his biological father, and goes on a search to find his real birth-father. He also promised the new season would feature “plushy sex, elder love, and Ted Danson as Don Quixote.”
In real life, though, he wouldn’t mind getting adopted by his ‘Bored to Death’ co-stars Ted Danson and Zach Galifianakis. Schwartzman joked that, “If they could both adopt me as my strange, new parents in some way, I would love Ted to be my father and for Zach to be my mom, or vice versa.”
He had some chemistry going with Hoda and Kourtney Kardashian, too. “It takes three to tango,” he told them, before signing off with an “I love you.”
